Research Interests

My primary research interest lies in the area of experimental characterisation of composite materials. In my Master studies, I have been working on “Damage tolerance behaviour of different thin-ply Non-Crimp Fabrics composite laminates” and broadly worked on experimental analysis of composite materials, including non-destructive inspection. As a result of my research experience and strong interest in the investigation of composite materials, I was interested in the research project within ICONIC at the University of Patras, for which the objectives are to develop test methods and characterise composite materials at high strain rate loading.
I am also interested in design analysis, manufacturing techniques and multi-functional materials. My ultimate goal is to become an accepted and productive member of the research community. In the future, I would like to work for a research centre or industry (aerospace/automotive), and contribute to the development of composite materials.
